The Violin Makers Association of British Columbia held its first Competition and Exhibit in 25 years on March 23rd, 2019.at the UBC School of Music building. Thanks to everyone who made it a success and see you in 2020!!
In this years competition, which was limited to violins and violas made in B.C., we allowed each maker two entries in each category.
The results are in two groups, a best in show category (points based), as well as medals and certificates of merit (judges discretion) category. Here are the results for the Best-in-show categories:
