Association member Roy Israel held a “How to Make a Violin” one-day course at Lee Valley today. The seminar went very well. There were four attendees, all of whom participated with good interaction and lots of very good questions.
The seminar ran form 09:30 and went through to 16:30 with a short lunch break. A typical violin can take 200-400 hours to make so to make the course as useful as possible to a broad audience, the curriculum focused on the entire spectrum of violin making in a broad sense.
At the end of the day the attendees were provided with a copy of the presentation materials which are suitable hand-outs for future reference. More seminars will be provided in the future!
