The club held its January meeting on the 16th. We had a good turn out with 4 violins being displayed and an ‘electric violin’ as well. The instruments being displayed included a “Picasso” instrument with a highly modified outline, two other locally made instruments and a violin restored by a member of the club.

Our monthly meeting was held as usual with good attendance. Four members brought recent violins for playing and examining, including a viola-violin hybrid which was in-the-white. The members also reviewed the library which includes magazines and instructional books on stringed instrument making and bow making, including templates. The next meeting will be January 16th, 2015
